Grab your party hats, crank up the music and add another drop of booze to that punch – because today is the day that FMV Magazine celebrates its very first birthday. 

On August 1st, 2011 we launched this site with the aim of becoming one of the web’s most exciting new online entertainment mags, and it’s fair to say that we’ve more than achieved that ambition.

Over the past 12 months FMV has been visited by 200,000 people from all over the globe, many of whom have come back to us time and time again. We’ve had articles featured on the front pages of N4G, Filmwatch and Reddit, and one or two of our breaking news pieces have even been picked up by national newspapers.

We’ve brought you interviews with top actors, bands and video game personalities, reviewed countless releases both major and independent, and caused a stir with many of our topical and provocative opinion pieces.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our readers for all their support, comments and feedback, and hope that you all continue to enjoy your daily dose of news, reviews and features from the worlds of film, music and video games going forward.

I’d also like to say a big thank you to all our talented contributors throughout this first year, who have put in a great deal of time and effort to produce some remarkable write-ups and outstanding articles.

With our monthly traffic continuing to rise and a fine first 12 months under our belts, here’s to many more years of FMV Magazine! We look forward to having you along for the ride…
