Game News: Next Assassin’s Creed Could Go To Unexpected Place, Says Creative Director

For years now fans of the Assassin’s Creed series have speculated on which time periods and historic events could play host to future installments. But now Assassin Creed III’s creative director Alex Hutchinson has hinted that developer Ubisoft might be keen to take on a less popular choice of destination for their next adventure.

Speaking in an interview with International Business Times, he said: “I think our goal would be to do surveys, and to whichever place everybody said ‘absolutely not there’, that’s where we would go.”

Indeed, Hutchinson believes that the expected critical and commercial success of the newly-released Assassin’s Creed III is likely to be down to the “big risks” they took with it in terms of setting and story.

“We wanted to make something important and special,” he explained, “so, we decided to take some big risks. We wanted a minority as a lead character, a setting that people didn’t expect; we wanted new gameplay like naval battles or tree-running that people had never seen before; and we wanted to wrap that up, polish it and truly create an epic.”

  1. Jack says:

The next assassin’s Creed should be in Ireland during the irish rebellion

  2. I love the quotes. They did truly make an epic game in my mind. I just wish they would not try this stupid DLC cheats that they are doing. It’s all good though.
