Gaming News: Bethesda announces Skyrim Collector’s Edition
The highly-anticipated fifth instalment in the Elder Scrolls franchise will be arriving at retail this November, and Bethesda Softworks have announced a special collector’s edition of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to coincide with the standard release.
Retailing at $149.99 in the US, it will pack a 12-inch PVC statue of Alduin – an in-game dragon known as the World Eater – as well as a 200-page ‘Art of Skyrim’ artbook which features a foreword by Bethesda design director Todd Howard. Also included will be a making-of DVD, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating Skyrim from concept to completion and interviews with the developers.
Set for release in the UK and Australia too, availability of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector’s Edition will be “extremely limited” according to Bethesda. Both the special edition and the standard edition of Skyrim will hit stores on November 11th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
