Gaming News: Three Silent Hill Games For March

Does the sound of an air siren make you shake with fear? Does the sight of rolling, heavy fog make you want to run right into it? Then you must be a Silent Hill fan, and this March all of your favorite walking nightmares, including Pyramid Head, return in three distinct games.

First on March 6th, Silent Hill 2 and 3 return with upscaled graphics and featuring all new voicework, when they are bundled together on a single disc for the release of the Silent Hill HD Collection.

Then Silent Hill: Downpour will release shortly after on March 13th. The all new survival adventure is being developed by Vatra Games for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will follow Murphy Pendleton, a prisoner who is stranded in Silent Hill after the prison transport vehicle carrying him crashes and Murphy must find a way out of Silent Hill’s southeastern region, an area never explored in any of the previous games. Finally, on March 27th Silent Hill: Book of Memories will be released exclusively for the Playstation Vita and will feature fully customizable and a series first, a multiplayer mode. Silent Hill: Book of Memories is being developed by WayForward, the developer behind Contra 4, Shantae and many other portable titles.

March looks like it will be a busy month of peering through the fog and killing monsters. I hope you bring your flashlight – not to mention a whole lot of cash to purchase these titles.
