Team 17 have announced that the latest entry in their classic turn-based strategy series Worms will hit consoles and PC later this year. 

Worms Revolution will feature an entirely new game-engine as well as fresh features and challenges – while fan favourite weapons such as the Super Sheep and Holy Hand Grenade will return.

The franchise has been held in high esteem and affection by millions of gamers since its first outing in 1995, with recent installments topping the iPhone chart and selling impressively on Xbox Live.

Worms Revolution is scheduled for a Q3 2012 release.
