Movie News: The Great Gatsby to open Cannes Film Festival

The Great Gatsby has been chosen to open The 66th Cannes Film Festival. The latest adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, directed by Baz Luhrmann, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. This is not the first time that Luhrmann has been honoured by Cannes as Strictly Ballroom, which was screened at the festival in 1992, won the Award for the Youth for Foreign Film.
